The Physician Assistant – Primary Care provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services to patients across the lifespan, with an emphasis on serving underserved and diverse populations. Under the supervision and collaboration of the Medical Director and/or designated supervising physician, the Physician Assistant – Primary Care is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic health conditions.
The Physician Assistant – Primary Care conducts patient evaluations, obtains medical histories, performs physical examinations, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications within the scope of practice, and provides preventive health services and patient education. The Physician Assistant – Primary Care works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health providers, care coordinators, and other members of the care team to promote continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.
